Let's Be Frank-Music of the Rat Pack Era

When speaking of modern music there are few artists and music styles better known than The Rat Pack and their swinging pop jazz! Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin created a vast body of music together and as individual artists. And when you include the many other singers such as Judy Garland, Carmen McRae, and Doris Day, to name a few, who appeared with them you have a musical library that is hard to fathom. When joining “Let’s Be Frank” for an evening of music you’ll be singing along with many popular and well-loved songs. And who knows, you may find yourself inviting your partner to hit the dance floor for a spin.

Together they have combined their individual strengths to deliver powerful narratives of life in song.  With their lineup of guitar, viola, upright bass, drums and ethereal vocal harmonies that float like a dream, the Sweet Lillies' music has a hard hitting original flavor with a forward-looking eye.  They have incorporated all of their cumulative life-experiences into their music, song-writing, and artistry, crafting an uncommonly-beautiful style they have christened “String-Americana” - a nod to the band’s all encompassing musical tastes and willingness to experiment with genres ranging from folk and rock all the way to hip-hop.

Nick Delffs

5:00 PM17:00

Nick Delffs

Nick Delffs grew up in Mendocino County, a lawless stretch of coastline that’s hard to get to and, for many, hard to escape. Nick did — emerging in the early aughts as the frontman for Portland band The Shaky Hands, whose sharp, jittery rock was anchored by Nick’s quavering vocals and questing lyrics. The Shaky Hands were mainstays of Portland on the verge of a major shift, and they rode that shift a while, signing to Kill Rock Stars and touring internationally with some of the bigger names in indie rock. But a hiatus in 2011 became indefinite and Nick Delffs was once again cast into the world: working as a sideman, releasing solo records, doing manual labor, going deeper into his spiritual practices, and, crucially, becoming a father.

Nick rode that change with surpassing grace and maturity. 2017’s Redesign, his first full-length under his own name, reflected the transition.

Pink Pape Party at The Motor Co.

Our newest Tranche tradition is back again for Spring Release Weekend. Come celebrate the return of Pink Pape with a massive party Friday, May 3rd at The Motor Co. We went all in on the band and booked Seattle’s indie-rock darlings, Smokey Brights. Trust us—you don’t want to miss them. Doors open at 6:30pm and the band plays from 7:00-10:00pm. Get your tickets early before the price increases at the door.

Please note: This event is for ages 21 and up.

Featuring live music by smokey Brights

Straight out of the Emerald City and ready to shake Walla Walla, Smokey Brights has been the darling of Seattle’s indie rock scene since they signed with the label Freakout Records.

This four-piece rock band is fronted by married songwriting duo Kim West and Ryan Devlin who alongside bandmates Luke Ragnar and Nick Krivchenia bring swirling synths, inventive bass lines and a genuine passion to the stage. A Smokey Brights show is rife with dancing, dad jokes, monstrous guitar solos, and the best thrift shop fashion from across the world.

Location - The Motor Co.

We’re taking the party downtown this year to Walla Walla’s premier event venue, The Motor Co. Located at 64 E Rose Street.

Warren Dunes

Hailing from Seattle, WA, Warren Dunes is a power trio led by Julia Massey, and consists of brothers Jared and Dominic Cortese. Their unique style of tropicalia-infused Indie rock, often referred to as post-modern beach music, was born from the cold waters and gray sky beaches of the Puget Sound. Their music is highlighted by Massey’s double keyboards and crystalline voice, soaring over chimey guitars and danceable beats.

Hillfolk Noir

Hillfolk Noir

Grooving. Raucous. Genre-bending. And always a ton of fun. Built on more than 15 years of tradition, today’s Hillfolk takes their acoustic guitar, double bass, and “anything you can find at a hardware store” sound and integrates driving drums and an electrified sound, kicking down limitations to create a vibe that goes beyond their Americana “junkerdash” roots. Want to call it bluegrass’s trouble-making cousin? Fine by us. A bit of string-band blues? Sure ‘nuff. A concoction of electrified rockin’ soulful folksy witchcraft mayhem? Now you’re talking, mama.
